“Super deep” Tosa dialect with Yu Sakai
``Dialect'' is ``a word that is used only in a certain region in contrast to a common language'' (from Kojien).
However, as media and transportation networks have developed and interaction between regions has become more active, the number of people who speak the Kotekote dialect has been decreasing.
In the program, we searched for the super deep Tosa dialect that is on the verge of extinction.
Singer-songwriter Yuu Sakai from Tosashimizu City is visiting Umaji Village and Nahari Town.
Performing original songs using dialects rooted in the area!
