Recently, the EP "Whale Song EP" containing 5 songs, including new songs newly written for the local sake brewing company "Suigei Shuzo" in Kochi prefecture, and songs on the theme of Kochi and hometown has been completed.
The title song ``Whale Song'' is the ``Enjoy SAKE Life'' movie produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Suigei Shuzo Co., Ltd., a sake brewery in Kochi Prefecture. This is a new song written for the world's dining table with drunken whales, and it is a large-scale song with the image of a whale swimming leisurely in Kochi's Kuroshio Sea.
Based in Kochi Prefecture, Suigei Sake Brewery has a vision of "Suigei on the world's table!" The thoughts of Yu Sakai, who is going to send it out, matched, and this collaboration was realized.
In addition, this work "Whale Song EP" includes "Hometown", a song from the indie era that will be released for the first time, "Father's Kiseki" (2018 NHK Minna no Uta), which is the theme of his father who was a pole-and-line fisherman of bonito, In 2019, "Go Jonney, man" and "Lalalai" (2nd AL "How's it going ?” recording), which is familiar from the Lawson Kochi TV commercial "Lalalai ~Igosso ver.~"It is a collection of songs related to Kochi, from new songs to songs that have been released for the first time.
The jacket photo is a visual fusion of the morning sun taken from Cape Ashizuri (Tosashimizu City), the southernmost tip of Shikoku, and the symbol of the Suigei brand, the whale tail mark.The artist photo was also taken in a camellia tunnel near Cape Ashizuri, and you can feel the rich colors of nature in Kochi visually.
