Regal Lily Ba. Sea Room
"The night before."
Thank you everyone for your hard work this week.
Just the other day, I went to Hokkaido for the first time in a long time.
Hokkaido is wonderful during the change of seasons. Just breathing in the fresh air circulated to places that are usually out of reach, and it made me feel dizzy.
Whenever I go to Hokkaido, I suddenly get a craving for coffee, so I make time to go to my favorite coffee shop or a coffee shop I've never been to before.
The coffee in Hokkaido is really delicious, right? Maybe it's the water? I feel like it has a smooth texture. But I'm just imagining it.
A city with good coffee is a good city. (Overwhelmingly subjective)
It's the evening of July 7rd here, and we're getting ready for tomorrow's Tokyo performance.
The music playing in the room is Ikuko Harada's album "Ginga."
After all, this time, as the title "The Great Summer Triangle" suggests, it's a concept live show with a star and sukima theme. The Iwate performance also had the subtitle "Night of Ihatov".
A word association game is played in my head.
So it went from Miyazawa Kenji → Yamanashi → Clammbon → Harada Ikuko.
I myself have learned many words and phrases as an adult, and I think the power of those words is very detailed and fascinating. This album feels more like the words that have been around me since I was a child, rearranged and linked in a different way, unleashing an incredible power. It's like the words I know are holding hands and taking me to unknown places, unknown times, and very far away places.
This is purely my personal opinion, so please respect everyone's own feelings.
The music takes me to different places and times, and the collisions create waves. It's as if my consciousness is suddenly swept away by the waves.
Anyway, it's my favorite album.
The tour starts tomorrow (today?), so I thought it would be nice to introduce some stellar music or sukima novels. I have a corner of my bookshelf in my house where I collect such books, so I thought it would be good to introduce some of my favorites from that corner.
My whims are really whimsical, so if you aren't introduced, please just think, "Oh, I guess there was something else I wanted to talk about."
Speaking of Clammbon, I remember when I was in elementary school, we had a Japanese class where we had to "draw a picture of Clammbon."
I loved those Japanese classes. If we were given an assignment like that now, I wonder what we would draw.
I want to make a collection of Clammbon drawings by the people I like around me. Or I want to put all the Clammbon drawings that everyone has drawn on a big painting of the ocean.
Wow, now I want to have Japanese class.
Is there a radio show that talks about the Japanese lessons you remember? I'd definitely listen to it.
Well, that's about it.
The Tokyo performance is close to Tanabata, so we have prepared paper strips and bamboo leaves, so please take advantage of the opportunity and come out to see it.
(Digression)
Since somen and soba have become my staple foods lately, I find myself thinking every day how nice it would be if there was freshly fried tempura in the hot snack section of convenience stores.
see you.
