The Amami folk song "Shima Uta" is the root of Motochitose and the origin of music.
While continuing to convey his charm as one of the singers representing his hometown, Amami Oshima, in recent years he has released ``Harvest Festival with Folk Song Crusaders'' (included in ``Moto Uta - Moto Chitose Amami Shima Uta Collection'' released in 2018) and remix work `` In collaboration with artists and creators from different genres, such as “Genuta Yugen ~Moto Chitose Amami Shimauta REMIX~” and “Yoisura Bushi (Meichou REMIX)” (included in “Niji no Fumoto” released in 2022), we have created a new version of Shimauta. The live video of "Dead Girls" from the one-man live "Augusta Camp in U-NEXT ~Favorite Songs~ Vol.7" held on July 27th has been released on YouTube.
"Dead Girl" was composed by Yuzo Toyama, one of Japan's leading composers, who read the translated lyrics of a poem by Turkish social poet Nazim Hikmet translated into Japanese by Russian literary scholar Nobuyuki Nakamoto.This is an anti-war song that expresses the tragedy of the atomic bomb and the earnest feeling against the war on behalf of a girl who was burned by the flames of the atomic bomb.
